The Conversation: Open Discussion with Becki Hawkins

Tonight I had the pleasure of conversing with Mrs. Becki Hawkins.
For over 30 years nursing veteran and best selling author Becki Hawkins has dedicated her life to caring for others as an oncology hospice nurse. When she began her career at the age of 19 she had no idea that her open spirit and sensitive/patient nature would be the canvas for intimate bonding with her patients.

This connection prompted many whom Becki cared for to share their deepest fears, regrets, and concerns about facing death. In her book Transisitons: A Nurses Education About Life and Death; Becki shares these experiences and what she has learned from sharing final weeks, days and moments with the dying.
